Eve is a conglomeration. Although she is her own distinct person, she is a melding of several other personalities (see It, GeneviveGrant Genevive Grant, LilyBarnes Lily Barnes, TheLeftHand The Left Hand). In the distant past TheLeftHand The Left Hand, one of TheLost The Lost, was a monster of epic proportions. She was an assistant to ZaizenTamari Zaizen, and in his name killed many people, generally by using her shapeshifting abilities. After Zaizen's dismemberment, she lost focus and the will to live. She was eventually captured by Nazis and experimented on in a lab. To escape from the questioning, she retreated into her mind. A second personality emerged, one that had forgotten what it's purpose in life was. It struggled to understand humanity by killing humans and replacing them. After countless deaths, this approach had still not worked, so It shrugged off part of It's mind, to be left incapacitated, and created a baby, GeneviveGrant Genevive Grant to learn to be human. Later, Genevive created LilyBarnes Lily Barnes in an attempt to spy on TheAgency the Agency.
On a visit to ParadiseLost Paradise Lost the second half of It, the shrugged-off memories which had since been revitalized by TheLost The Lost, caught up with Genevive/Lily and reintegrated into that body. This caused an ongoing struggle for control of the body between the various personalities now inhabiting it. During the final fight with ZaizenTamari Zaizen, TheLeftHand The Left Hand gained control and wreaked havoc. Eventually, however, the other personalities worked together to defeat her from within. In this internal battle, the five personalities merged to become one solid person, who called herself Eve.
After the battle, Eve elected to return to Siberia and ZaizensTemple Zaizen's Temple with ShesuAshari Shesu Ashari and Golem to help protect the contents of the temple and rehabilitate the area. This was done partly because while Eve is a new person and not guilty of the acts committed by her predecessors, she would like to help make the world a better place in direct contrast to the actions of TheLeftHand The Left Hand and It.
