- 243 BCE During the fight for [[ParadiseLost Paradise Lost]] Xavier Knight kills [[Augustus]], becoming a member of [[TheBrotherhood the Brotherhood]]. He also retrieves the [[ArkOfTheCovenant Ark of the Covenant]] from the [[TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance of Humanity]]. Xavier Knight takes his son, [[FerrisKnight Ferris Knight]] and his allies, along with the Ark of the Covenant out through the Sewers, sealing what they believe to be the final gate behind them. They emerge in Southern Spain, near Toledo and will set up a small landed estate where they live in hiding. He sends his son Ferris to [[NDore N'dore]] with half of the Ark, but the ship sinks. The other half of the Ark is kept as a family heirloom, and passed down amongst the [[KnightFamily Knight family]].

He took with him the universal [[ArkOfTheCovenant key to Paradise Lost]]. After he was out of immediate danger, Xavier broke the key in half. He sent one half with his son [[FerrisKnight Ferris]] to be taken to [[NDore N'Dore]] of [[TheAshari the Ashari]]. This half of the key was lost when Ferris's ship sank. The other half of the key Xavier kept and passed down through [[KnightFamily his family]].
