[[ElizabethClark Elizabeth Clark]] - the matron of the orphanage. A tall, muscular, creole woman, Ms. Clark took care of most of the day to day work of running the orphanage and caring for the children. She also functioned as a maid and laundry woman.
Additions:
The St. James Hotel is owned and operated by [[VincentBlack Vincent]] and [[RoseBlack Rose]] Black. Mr. and Mrs. Black also own and operate the St. James Orphanage which is located behind the Hotel and attached to the Hotel via a small dirty alley. Some time prior to the Blacks' ownership, the Hotel and Orphanage were part of a large church complex. The only part of the church that remains, however, is the bell tower, which sits atop the orphanage.
