This shard was used by [[Isux]] in his battle against Maka in 1343 BCE and dealt the fatal blow, killing Maka and removing [[HeWhoDoesNotSleep He Who Does Not Sleep's]] link to this realm. The Shard was then taken by [[Isux]] back to his people as proof of his victory against [[Maka]]. In 1270 BCE, [[Augustus]] pays a visit to [[Isux]] in his quest to locate all metahumans on earth and hears of the legend of Maka as well as of the Shard.
