Ryu was a student of [[Omi]] and after graduating from the dojo continued to explore the world, seeking new schools in which to train.  This led him to the [[TheOrderoftheSteelRose Order of the Steel Rose]] where he learned from its leader, [[VirgilBelmont Virgil Belmont]] as well as from the members of the [[TheOrderoftheRedHood Order of the Red Hood]] who were there to work with the [[TheWarriorsGuild Warrior's Guild]].
