An very small island on the Aleutian Chain that is located at a Dead Zone.

In the interior of this island is long crevice, like a gash upon the earth. Within this crevice is a bubble made of black energy that draws in all of the light around it and cannot be penetrated by anything but flowing water. The bubble seems to continue to make a circle around the site even through the stone and earth of the cracks walls. The ancient tales suggest that within this crevice is the prison of an evil presence, HeWhoDoesNotSleep He Who Does Not Sleep and the origin place of all Wraiths on earth.

Inside of this bubble are shards of black matter. These shards are obsidian in appearance although their substance has not yet been ascertained. Although they are in a variety of sizes, each piece is incredibly sharp and look as if they have shattered off of a larger curved surface. Obtaining them is very difficult due to the presence of the bubble and the need to maintain a constant breach while extracting the desired deadly shards.

The inhabitants of this region are extremely protective of this island, acting swiftly to prevent anyone from coming ashore. In the past they have been known to kill anyone who attempts to leave after making their way onto the island.

Other legends say this island was an ancient religious site for the ancient TheAleuqit Aleuqit Tribe and additional stories involving Maka, Isux and the ShardoftheDarkStar Shard of the Dark Star remain a part of the regions lore.
