====Part 10 of the [[FoundationoftheNine Foundation of the Nine]] - The Creation of the Weapons====
**Date:** 12-13 November 659 CE
**Location:** [[TheScholarsGuild The Scholar's Guild]]

After about an hour with no activity on the door, [[DeviWong Devi]] announces, "I believe we can recreate the weapons. Possibly better than the original daggers."

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "Yes, but we have a very limited amount of [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]]. But we should be able to craft 9 weapons."
  
[[Omi]] says, "And the prophesy is fulfilled. [[AshamAshari Asham]] would be pleased."
 
[[TomoLuKang Tomo]] nods, "So we need nine volunteers."

[[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] steps forward, "I will go." smiling to no one in particular.

"As will I" says [[Chen]].

[[Alaistar Rolo]] hands [[Sacha]] back to [[Winter]]. And doing his best to look together and brave says, "I would like staff, if it's possible"

[[ZinRaishin Zin]] nods and says, "I will go as well".

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] shakes his head. "You can’t [[ZinRaishin Zin]]. The process needs blood to work, you as a shadow have none."
  
[[TomoLuKang Tomo]] says, "Don’t worry, there will be much for the rest of us to do." [[ZinRaishin Zin]] nods.

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "I must go, I think I’m the only one who can complete the ritual, but I will need help."
  
[[DeviWong Devi]] says, "I will go to help". 

"As will I" says [[Raven]].

"Where the Guild goes, I will go to be their sword." [[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] says, stepping forward.
  
"And I will go...for [[WuWong Wu]]." [[Winter]] says.

[[Alaistar Rolo]] responds when [[Winter]] speaks up
 
[[Alaistar Rolo]] says, “No- there must be another.   She is too young.”

[[Winter]] says, "I am not a child [[Alaistar Rolo]]. I make my own path. We are precious short on volunteers.
 
"I would go as well" [[Miyen Mi-yen]] says, "If I could be of help".

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] steps in again. "You are brave [[LifeSpark Life Spark]]. But you must be elsewhere.”  She nods.
  
[[TomoLuKang Tomo]] says, "I will take the last spot then."

With that they set together forging the weapons.

[[Alaistar Rolo]] speaks in a loud clear voice, “I must apologize to you all. I have led a life that has made it difficult to trust.   And so I kept from you my true name. But the time for mistrust is over. As [[SebastianNemo Nemo]] has wisely stated what we are about to do will bind us forever.  I am [[Alaistar]]. My wife . .. is [[Alexi]].”

[[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] nods and bows to [[Alaistar]], [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] smiles at him. [[Chen]] bows slightly, and [[Winter]] hugs him.  [[Miyen Mi-yen]] bows her head in a nod to him.  [[Alaistar]] gives a bow to each in return

The weapons are crafted over the next 20 hours.  During this time [[Omi]] sleeps and [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] and [[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] take shifts doing the same.  [[Miyen Mi-yen]] is awake the whole time, staying on watch and on guard.  [[Alaistar Rolo]] would sleep with [[Sacha]] by his side.  [[SebastianNemo Nemo]] works though the night, as does [[TomoLuKang Tomo]], [[Raven]] [[DeviWong Devi]] and [[Chen]], by taking the precious few remaining bits of [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] while [[Winter]] drops the temperature down to near absolute zero. The [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] liquefies and is molded.  [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] gets a wakazashi, [[Alaistar]] gets a staff, [[Chen]] gets a pentagram, [[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] a longsword, [[DeviWong Devi]] a sai, [[SebastianNemo Nemo]] a gauntlet, [[Winter]] gets a chain, [[Raven]] a ring, and [[TomoLuKang Tomo]] a shield.  The mold is created with normal lead as the base, which is covered with carefully placed runes placed by [[SebastianNemo Nemo]], [[DeviWong Devi]], and [[Raven]].  

While the [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] is still liquid, [[SebastianNemo Nemo]] goes to [[Miyen Mi-yen]], "The notes here are vague, they call for the blood of the life opposite the darkness. It’s an old translation, but I believe it means the blood of the [[LifeSpark Life Spark]].  We know the [[LifeSpark Life Spark]] was here when the daggers were forged."

She nods. "What do you need me to do?"

“Bleed into the liquid metal, even a tiny bit would be enough.” answers [[SebastianNemo Nemo]].

She nods again and reaches up to pull one of the two chopsticks out from her hair. She walks over to the vat of liquid [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]]. She pulls up the sleeve of her left arm and slashes down her arm towards her wrist, cutting into the vein with the pointed chopstick, holding it in the wound. She squeezes her fist and shoves in the chopstick, forces a few drops to spill.  The blood doesn’t seem to want to flow out of her body, it hangs on but eventually drips out of her.  As she moves the wound tries to seal it self up behind the chopsticks.  Her face stays calm the whole time.

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "Now each volunteer must bleed into the metal. And speak their Full true name. One at a time please."
"[[Chen]]" [[Chen]] says simply and bleeds.
  
"[[RenjiYoritomo Renji Yoritomo" [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] says, cutting his palm with his old wakazashi.
  
[[Alaistar]] takes a dagger out of his cloak from his left leg.  "[[Alaistar]]" He drags the knife across his palm

"[[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] Belmont", "Sebastian [[SebastianNemo Nemo]]" "[[DeviWong Devi Wong]]" "[[Winter]]" "[[Raven]]" "[[TomoLuKang Tomo Lu Kang]]" they each take their turn.

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] backs off and begins to chant, "Now focus your will on your item, as the [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] warms. Invest a part of yourself in the item."

The [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] cools and the weapons are done and solid, they are turned out of the molds and onto the table. While the weapons are still cooling each is fitted with gold rings somewhere on the handle 13 on each item.  The rings have runes on the inside that burn like fire when they are applied to the [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]].

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] keeps everyone back.  [[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "Ahem, now in theory, we can touch them, and we will be able to bring our souls into the shadow realm. But I’m not sure, one, how they work, two, if they work, and three, I feel we should be prepared to finish what we start as soon as we pick them up."
 
[[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] says, "Agreed."

[[DeviWong Devi]] says, "We do have an expert..." she turns to [[Hugh]].

[[Hugh]] says, "The first touch is painful." 

[[DeviWong Devi]] says, "Hopefully the preattunment we have done will prevent the worst of it, as well as us all only having one item." 

[[Hugh]] nods.  "You will see your soul for a moment, and one moment only. In my case, my soul was torn apart before my eyes by the energy."

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "If we have done this correctly, we will see our souls, and then we will pass them, they coming here, and us going to the shadow realm."
  
[[Hugh]] nods, "You can swap back by touching one of the rings."

[[DeviWong Devi]] nods, "They are physical representations of the 13 tethers that tie a human soul to its body."

[[TomoLuKang Tomo]] says, "In doing this you forever change how the tethers are arranged, I don’t believe we can ever undo this."

[[Hugh]] nods. "There is not much more to say."

[[Omi]], [[Hugh]], [[ZinRaishin Zin]] and [[NeruKazi Neru]] form up around [[Mi-yen]]. [[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] says, "And so let’s go over the plan once more before we change our lives forever."

[[Omi]] says, "The 5 of us, bring [[Miyen Mi-yen]] to the sealed chamber."

[[VirgilBelmont Virgil]] says, "We nine grab the weapons which bring us over to the shadow realm."
 
[[Raven]] says, "In the shadow realm the binding runes they have on the door will not hold us."
 
[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says, "We cross over, and cross back, and undo the runes from the inside."

[[ZinRaishin Zin]] says, "Then we bring [[Miyen Mi-yen]] to the machine, hold off the wraiths in the light realm while..."

[[DeviWong Devi]] says, "We cross back into the shadow realm and bind the wraiths from the inside."
 
“Will our powers work in that realm?” asks [[Alaistar Rolo]].

[[Hugh]] says, "I don’t know, I’m not...gifted..."
 
“[[ZinRaishin Zin]]?” asks [[Alaistar Rolo]].

[[ZinRaishin Zin]] says, "When my soul was there I could access the darkness...It made me very powerful. However my particular gifts lend themselves to that."

[[SebastianNemo Nemo]] says. "Nothing to do but experiment!"

[[Alaistar Rolo]] responds, “Then there is nothing left.” [[Alaistar Rolo]] walks over to [[Sacha]] and kisses him on the forehead.  He turns to [[ZinRaishin Zin]] and makes eye contact . . .and nods.

[[Miyen Mi-yen]] looks at the people around her, those not part of the nine, "And once you have bound the wraiths from the inside, what happens to the rest?" She motions towards [[NeruKazi Neru]] and [[Omi]] and the rest standing at her side.

[[Chen]] says, "If this works, there will be no more wraiths or hollows anywhere on earth, if this works we will bind their evil forever. If this works, we simply walk out over their corpses."

She nods. "Then let this work." she says coldly.
 
[[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] says, "And if it doesn’t, at least we all get to die together!"  He snatches the wakazashi off the table.  There is the tiniest moment of a flash where [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] is not there, then [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] appears again looking a bit shocked....with his colors totally inverted. Where he had black hair its white, his black parts of his Gi, is white, and so on.  His skin however is a normal color.  The inverted [[RenjiYoritomo S-Renji]] smiles his sheepish grin, and says, "Neat! Hello everyone, I’m [[RenjiYoritomo Renji’s]] Soul. heheh".  [[Miyen Mi-yen]] nods to [[RenjiYoritomo S-Renji]], with a flicker of a smile.

[[Alaistar Rolo]] steps to the table looks at his son and [[Winter]].  And then takes the staff.

[[RenjiYoritomo S-Renji]] looks like he’s listening to something, and says, "The wraiths can tell something’s up, [[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] can see them moving around we better get started."

[[Alaistar]] takes the staff after looking at his son and [[Winter]] then nodding generally

The others take their weapons as well.  [[Chen S-Chen]] looks like a white wraith with no body.  [[VirgilBelmont S-Virgil]] looks like himself, but covered with white armor like a classic fairytale knight.  [[DeviWong S=Devi’s]] has two glowing wings on her back.  [[SebastianNemo S-Nemo]] looks like himself but there is more fire in the back of his eyes, it’s hard to meet his gaze.  [[Winter S-Winter’s]] white skin goes semi translucent, like it’s made of ice.  [[Raven S-Raven]] looks like [[Raven]] but her hair is made of feathers. [[TomoLuKang S-Tomo]] looks like [[TomoLuKang Tomo]] but his beard is much longer.
[[Alaistar S-Alaistar]] looks sort of like himself, but bigger, like he was working out for years, his arms are wrapped in broken chains and his eyes glow softly green with an inner fire. His hair ripples as if it an unseen wind.

[[Omi]] nods when the last of them pick up their weapons. "It seems we will have more help on this side than we thought."
 
[[RenjiYoritomo S-Renji]] smiles. "I wouldn’t leave my Sensei behind."
