12:00 Devi, Fio, Duke, Elena, and Alaistar experiment with the MedallionOfAugustus and determine:
- The same experiment, but passing the medallion to Alaistar before beginning to run, results in the medallion manifesting hugely, a mile or more, and burns Alaistar’s hand. Elana still does not meet herself.

Revision [274]

Additions:
12:00 Devi, Fio, Duke, Elena, and Alistiar experiment with the medallion and determine:
- There is a manifestation when opening the portal.
- There is a spike in the manifestation when you walk through.
- There is a super manifestation on the return, which has a weird temporal feel to it.
- The person on the target side cannot see the portal opening.
- The person on the target side of the portal can feel the manifestation before someone walks through the portal. It is a super-manifestation and feels like it is rolling towards the target.
- Someone who is standing between A and B feels the manifestation as it passes from A to B.
- On the return trip (B to A), the manifestation does not roll. It appears at A and B at the same time.
- Devi can use the portal to create shadows/portals on the other side that are technically out of sight, but they’re shaky, and probably unreliable.
- Walking through with the phone, it does not realign immediately, but keeps the real time (like the clockwork watch) for a few minutes. The phones are not damaged by being passed through the portal.
- When two people go through the portal, at A the manifestation is the same. On the return trip, the manifestation is twice as large. When Devi-shadow is the second person, the manifestation is larger than with just one person, but not nearly as large as when it is two physical people.
- If the distance between A and B is twice as far, the manifestation is twice as big.
- The longer you stay, the larger the manifestation.
- When Elana goes to B at 0:00 and comes back at 2:00 B-time (returning to A at 0:01 A-time), she cannot return to B until 2:01 A-time.
- When Elana goes to be at 0:00 and comes back at 6:00 B-time (returning to A at 0:01 A-time), and then tries to run (with the medallion) to B (a five minute run) so that theoretically she would get to B before 6:00 A-time, the distance stretches so that no matter how fast she runs, she cannot arrive to see herself.
- The same experiment, but passing the medallion to Alistair before beginning to run, results in the medallion manifesting hugely, a mile or more, and burns Alistair’s hand. Elana still does not meet herself.
- If a portal is opened and a rock is thrown through to Fio at point B, the portal does not close. However, Fio can’t see the portal, and can’t through the rock back.
- If the portal is opened, pushing the pins back turns it off again.
- If Elana opens a portal at A, and then tries to through the medallion through the portal, it doesn’t work. The second it stops touching skin, it immediately shuts everything off.
- Experiments show that nothing appears until it is entirely through.
Deletions:
They drive, and find a 7-11 by a river, and Mi-Yen goes into the river and does herself up as Ugly2. Ugly2 calls Bob. Bob doesn’t think much of the current Gates Corp, and says that they haven’t been the same since Benjamin died. He mentions a deal that Gates Corp made with Cubas, a small Japanese trading company owned by Fox. A shipment went from one company to another, after the auction. Cubas is a subsidiary of Fox’s company, which is owned by Gates. He think Fox traded something with Gates. Bob also mentioned that Fox has “the killer”, and wants to “collect”, in 31 hours, 7 PM tomorrow. He wants her to attend the meeting, to find out who the killer is. She asks after Trent, and describes Abdul and Jacob, but Bob doesn’t recognize them by description. She also calls the Red Hoods back, who tell her that there are a lot of groups moving through London, and give more details about the disease. Men in grey cloaks with glowing daggers are looking for someone, using the daggers as tracking devices. Barclay was seen at a fight in Ireland late the night before.

Revision [258]

Deletions:
9 AM They jack a car, head west on surface streets out of the city, and listen to the news as they discuss further plans. Ugly2 lies down and changes to Mi-yen.
News:
Plane flights resume, terrorists believed contained.
Gates Corp and Innovation rumored to be announcing merger today, in Brussels, by noon. The CEOs of both corporations are rumored to be on site for the announcement.
Media in Rome picks up on the harbor attack, blaming it on terrorists.
Wildfires reported in Northern France, at the location of The Vault.
Strangeness in Amsterdam has ceased.
WHO is investigating an outbreak of the black death in a neighborhood in South London. They’ve quarantined the neighborhood. Mi-Yen thinks that it’s Hanif, with the Cursed Scimitar, and wants to visit the Black Guard in London to try to negotiate an alliance with them.
NASA is launching a mission to the ISS later today. The group discusses that this is probably Modin getting sent to Never Never Land.
Mi-Yen wants to go to London, and the rest want to go attack Pappas’s place in Athens and see if they can spring Nemo. They discuss, and decide to spring Nemo first, so he can have a look at the medallion, and then try to get to London after that.
10:30 AM Alaistar talks to his peeps. Lucas and Raven are in Brussels snooping around, but haven’t seen Pappas or Jessica Gates yet. Serena and Renji have arrived at the Hague, Chen, Ban, Santiago are en route on trains.
He tells Santiago that they’re planning an attack on Pappas’s place. Santiago offers to jump off the train and run back to Greece to join them. They discuss the layout of Pappas’s fortress. They discuss Cult mechanics, and Santiago mentions the Cult spiders. Santiago also mentions a hospital where Pappas keeps prisoners to experiment on. A Dr. Victor Cross leads the hospital experiments, using his own flesh golems for defense. Santiago doesn’t think that Nemo would be brought there, as he doesn’t know what Cross would want to do with him. Santiago thinks it’s best to try to capture Pappas, and try to trade him for Nemo. He thinks that he’ll be nearby for the merger in Brussels. Santiago mentions that Shank’s power is over electricity, and he’s a supreme inventor and mechanic. Santiago mentions that the clockwork guys have a weakness, you must destroy both the nanomachines, as well as the nanomachine backup factory. He mentions that he’s got special bullets to do it.
Alaistar polls the nine for suggestions.
o
Chen suggests following the money, but he needs a computer and a phone to do the work, and it would be risky.
o
Raven suggests looking at the power grid, and seeing what’s pulling the power to keep Nemo suppressed.
o
Santiago gives a list of Pappas’s facilities where Nemo might be held.
o
Renji mentions that Pappas might have compromised the Agency’s communication via the Agency phone that they bought at auction.
o
He tells Raven and Lucas to tail Shank if they see him.
11 AM Devi borrows the lead-encrusted crystal from Alaistar and examines it. She can’t see all of the paper, because it is wrapped so tightly, but it appears to be a string of numbers.
Fio borrows Devi’s phone to call Felicia. She says in half an hour she will give them information about where power is being sucked out of the grid in sufficient amounts that it might be Nemo’s prison.
11:15 Lucas pings to tell Alaistar that Pappas’s people are in limos, and he’s following them, but they haven’t spotted Shank yet.
11:20 Raven reports that she is following Jessica’s people, and that they are moving. She is staying a the Regency, with human security.
11:30 Felicia calls back, she says that the power spike is in China (gives random city in China). Fio asks her to email it to the Front Desk at The Hague Hilton, and he has Alaistar ask Renji to pick it up. Felicia also notes 13 huge power spikes as well, above the notable high level of usage, separated by hour intervals.
11:55 AM Business report on radio: merger between Gates Corp and Innovation is announced.
