1 March, 1877 Dearest Ollie, It makes me sad that St. James feels lonely. I know you felt that staying with Mr. Black was the best decision while I was gone for a time, but if you should change your mind, you could always come out to Memphis. This is the way we arrived at the orphanage so many years ago! I can just imagine you at the front desk! Tell me, do you ever keep a spare kitten behind there with you? How is Cal, with Shawn gone? Are you still going dancing with Ella? I have been taking pictures of regular street working life here in Memphis. Maybe when I get back, I should take the same of St. James. And you, front and center! We could even do a portrait of Beatrice. In my work here, I have been working with a gentleman named Mac Fisher. He passed through London and was taken by a publication of Street Life in London. It started as monthly subscription work like we are doing, but they made it into a book! He has started talking of doing the same. I wonder if it would be possible? Always your sister, Jeanne
