<#kate: Ella would be worried about Jeanne, thinking she might be sad because Dean's not there. She'd do what she could to cheer her up, playing tunes afterwards on the washboard, telling funny stories, and generally trying to be good company without drawing attention to the issue. #>

<#kate: If she has a chance to catch Jeanne alone, she'd ask if she's okay. (not sure if that would happen or if it does, should there be a new page if Jeanne'd be willing to chat about it?) I imagine Celeste would also be worried so perhaps all three are involved? #>

<#court: When the girls catch up with her later, she is not very interested in talking, but aside from being sad that Dean was not there, and reminded of him because of this "anniversary" event, she says that she is worried about him; it sounds like she has heard from him, and is worried about the regiment. #>

<#kate: Ella would be sympathetic to Jeanne but not push, just kind of there as moral support. This is more a question for Kel though, since Ella would keep her ears out and ask around if she ran into anyone who might have news of the regiment during her exploits out and about. I'm guessing she doesn't hear about anything worth passing along - something good like "he's safe and coming home" but she does try.#>
