[[Alaistar]] arrives in France to find the political situation in France charged. Alaistar stays in the background, gathering information and trying to locate the meteorite as quickly as possible. The government's head, Louis XVI, is bankrupt after helping fund the American Revolution. Louis XVI, as well as many other members of the court, are famous for being open and overtly metahuman, France in general is heralded at the time as a haven for metahumans.
However when Alaistar arrives he finds that the good times are drawing to a close. [[TheAllianceOfHumanity The Alliance of Humanity]] has had France and its nobility as a thorn it its side for far too long, and sees these hard times as the perfect opportunity to bring the “witches and freaks” in France down.

[[Alaistar]] determines that the King has the meteorite, and has not forged it yet. He tries to negotiate with the King, but finds Louis stubborn and unwilling. Alaistar considers taking the meteorite by force, but Louis and his court are all metahumans, and even given Alaistar’s considerable strength he does not want to use it against the King. Louis agrees that if Alaistar can help him stop the [[TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance of Humanity]] from attacking the country he will give him the stone. Alaistar agrees.

[[RenjiYoritomo Renji]] reports that the [[TheAlchemists Alchemists]] beat him to the meteorite, and claimed it.

[[Alaistar]] goes to negotiate with the [[TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance of Humanity]] on behalf of the king. He is sent to negotiate with Robespierre, a new, but rising member of the Alliance, who was sent to France to remove the king. The negotiation goes shakily at first, with both men being very stubborn and unwilling to give up their key points. The debate hinges around the concept of Freedom, and what that means. For Robespierre, freedom means freedom from what he sees as oppression by those with more power than mortal men. Alaistar argues that it is not freedom to merely flip the positions and have the mortals controlling the powerful. They argue long into the night, but then they come to an agreement that the only way for people to truly be free is to have everyone equal, in all things. Robespierre agrees to quit the Alliance, and join with Alaistar in achieving that dream, if Alaistar can get the king out of power. Alaistar happy to have an agreement that will keep the Alliance in check, travels back to the king.
Louis, gives Alaistar the stone. Alaistar, mission completed, prepares to leave, but feels guilt at his agreement to Robespierre. He honestly believes in what he discussed with Robespierre that night, and that freedom means freedom for all. Resolving to go back to the guild as soon as he can, Alaistar chooses to stay to see if he can help Robespierre achieve his dream.

[[Alaistar]] and Robespierre take their vision of an equal society to both lower members of the court as well as members of the [[TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance of Humanity]]. This new Third Estate breaks away after being under represented and thwarted by the Nobility and Clergy. Some lower members of the clergy and [[TheWillOfGod Will of God]] associates as well as members of the Nobility join the Third Estate.
They declare themselves the National Assembly at the Oath of the Tennis Court. They are joined by help a third man, Lafayette, a metahuman who also shares the dream of France where all men, gifted and mortal alike are equal under the law.
Robespierre and Lafayette help establish this Assembly under the influence of Alaistar who uses his diplomatic skills to establish trust between the various factions and encourage them to work together towards their greater purpose of equality and a society in which metahumans and normal humans can live together in peace.
The Alliance, furious at the betrayal of Robespierre stir up angry sentiments of the lower classes against the nobility and royalty, trying to thwart the alliances being formed by the National Assembly. They encourage the Great Fear where unsuspecting citizens attack the homes of nobles and are directed against metahumans. This ends up spreading out of control, and the populace attacks monasteries and the homes of aristocrats in search of food and weapons.
Alaistar, Lafayette and Robspierre attempt to wrest control over the population from the Alliance of Humanity propaganda machine and bring peace to the people.

[[Raven]] reports good news: she has not only found the [[ColdSteel cold steel]] lump from North America, but found a willing replacement. They are traveling back towards [[TheScholarsGuild the guild]] together.

Maximilien Robespierre (32) is elected President of the Jacobins. His attitude is still focused on creating an egalitarian society but the growing factions within the National Assembly, especially those tied to the Alliance and those partial to the metahumans begin to divide, weakening the base from which they started. His belief in his views are so strong that he continues to push through his reforms and suggests turning against those that were once his allies in order to achieve what he believes is a greater good. Alaistar works with him in order to try and repair these divides and establish a constitution.
Nobility is abolished by the National Assembly in France as it attempts to create an equal status for all of the population.
The Constitution is formally accepted by the King. It is a combination of efforts from the [[TheSocietyOfSecrets Society of Secrets]], the less fundamentalist members within the [[TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance of Humanity]], the attitudes of the general population represented by Robespierre, the efforts of Lafayette to include the Nobles and assisted by Alaistar.
With this constitution ratified and future elections set for the Legislative Assembly, and the [[ColdSteel]]cold steel secured, Alaistar takes his leave of France hurrying back to the guild to make the 1792 Deadline.
