Devi is a thief, and revels in her abilities, and in her freedom. She hates the thought of being constantly monitored or kept on a leash, which is one of the reasons she dislikes [[TheAgency the Agency]]. Although her experiences to date have been mostly mundane thefts, she is highly interested in becoming more involved with the metahuman underworld, if only because stealing things that are well-guarded is more fun than simply taking something without any challenge. She is highly curious, though not well-educated. Devi is a history buff, and is intensely interested in historical events, particularly those dealing with India or with metahumans. She likes to collect things, most notably ancient weapons. 

Devi's metahuman abilities take the form of shadows. She can transform herself into a shadow, and often spends her time hiding in this form. She can also create solid shadows, and open portals between two shadows.
