- **1285 BCE** Two artifacts are traded to a [[KaziFamily Kazi]], a ‘broken’ [[ColdSteelCompass Cold Steel compass]] and a [[ColdSteelPen Cold Steel pen]] with ink for all of [[ChemicalX Chemical X]]. In the next two years more raiders from the East attack caravans.
- **1283 BCE** [[HaydenKazi Hayden Kazi]] is sent by [[RafikKazi Rafik]] to study with his [[BastienKnight Uncle Bastien]] in Crete along with his younger sister [[AylinKazi Aylin]] and their bodyguard, [[Anila]]. Rafik secretly gives Hayden the [[ColdSteel Cold Steel]] [[ColdSteelCompass compass]] and pen.
- **1282 BCE** [[HaydenKazi Hayden]] uses the Cold Steel pen to study under [[BastienKnight Bastien’s]] tutelage and Bastien notices that there is something odd with the documents writen with the pen and studies the pen.
- **1281 BCE** [[BastienKnight Bastien]] finishes codifying the Runic Language after seeing runes eminate from [[HaydenKazi Hayden Kazi]] as he dies due to disease. [[Augustus]] and Bastien go to India to report the death of Hayden. [[RafikKazi Rafik]] continues to have [[AylinKazi Aylin]], with the Cold Steel [[ColdSteelCompass compass]] and pen live with Bastien.
