Dear Jeanne, 

I am pleased to hear that you are safely arrived. I believe I will be traveling soon myself. I simply cannot stay here at St. James any longer than I must. There is too much sadness here, within myself, within everyone around me, within the very walls themselves. I am even now making arrangements to journey to Philadelphia earlier than planned. 

I wish you luck with your landscapes, and hope that you will make new friends amongst the photographers you meet. Though I beg you not to forget all of your old ones.
