====Abner's Hunting Trip 1====

[[AbnerHayes Abner Hayes]] takes all of the boys on a hunting/camping trip for a week.

Attendees: Cal, Shawn, Cole, Jefferson

**Mr Black comes along.  (He always does) and Jackson is the main coonhound.  They sometimes bring more dogs / other men but this one is just the two.

Its basically a coonhunt / camping.  They go out into the wild, with tents and what not for a few days.  They are on foot.  They have rifles for the two men, and two extras that the boys get to share and use.

The basic hunt is a standard coonhunt.  Jackson gets the sent of a raccoon.  He chases the coon and trees it.  The people follow behind, and then shoot the animal out of the tree.

The men make a point of teaching the boys proper firearms safety and shooting. 

I think they also spend some time fishing, and generally enjoying the outdoors.**
