<#court: During the evening, Dean and Jeanne leave for a few minutes. When they return, Jeanne is holding camera, looking very excited, and spends the evening alternately taking pictures of willing subjects and talking quietly with Dean in corners of the room. During the evening, she briefly shows Celeste how the camera works, and asks Celeste to take a picture of her with Dean. #>
<#kate: Ella gets shy when / if Jeanne tries to take a picture of her, blushing and looking at whatever it is she's doing, like at the keys most probably. She does play certain songs she things Jeanne would like, in the hopes along with the picture taking and chatting, they might dance too. #>
<#kate: During this party, two girls, Josephine Gatwood and Hyacinthe Windsor come up to the piano and start talking with Ella. They are cousins and Josephine is the sister of Beryl Gatwood a shy young man who spends most of the party nodding in other people's conversations and, especially when the dancing starts, twirling a derby in his hands. They are nieces and nephew to Mrs. Charles Gatwood who stayed at the hotel last summer. The girls appear to be talking "sweetly" to Ella who keeps her focus on the piano for the most part. The two girls notice the boys hovering outside and end up venturing over to them while the party goes on. Ella seems pretty steamed, taking her aggressions out on the keys and heading out on a walkabout when the party's over, most likely on her own. #>
<#court: Jeanne notices the change in Ella during the evening. She attempts to come up and see what's wrong (after the Gatwoods are gone). She is subtle - raising eyebrows, a questioning look to see if Ella wants to talk about it, but I'm guessing Ella brushes her off for the moment, focusing on the piano (Kate, please do correct me if that's wrong).#>
<#kate: Ella, looking pretty peeved, glances at the exit the Gatwood's took and then leans into the keys but speaks softly. "We were just catching up..." Her face goes tight, her lips sealing a further explanation as someone calls for a particular tune. She works up a smile for Jeanne though, that looks like she'd be willing to talk about it but not just then. She tips her head toward Dean, watching on with concern. "Go on," she says with a more genuine grin, "your beau's waitin'." After the party, she still finishes up and takes off, probably stealing some smokes from someone if she doesn't have her own.#>

<#court: As the evening draws to a close, Jeanne speaks quickly and intently with Dean for a moment, then leaves him and tries to catch Celeste's attention and catch up with Ella if she can. #>
<#court: (If Ella darts off too quickly), Jeanne looks around for a bit, and, failing to find her, helps with the cleanup and looks for her later in the Tower. She finds a time when it's just the two of them - maybe can catch her in a hallway - to ask how she is, and what happened. #>
