Revision [28571]

This is an old revision of OllieThibodeau made by JonahPetri on 2013-04-12 19:43:04.

Born: 1861-05-06
Sister: JeanneThibodeau

Ollie spent the first years of his life living with his family in the Atchafalaya bayou. He was very poor, and his family mainly subsisted on what they could hunt or grow in the swamp. After losing his parents, he and his sister end up in the St. James Orphanage. As a child, Ollie is wiggly and fairly silly, sometimes taking on the role of the class clown within the orphanage. His job within the orphanage/hotel is to distribute linens throughout the hotel for the cleaning crew, and to this end he manages a cart and a dumbwaiter (which he has named "Beatrice").

Things Ollie Likes:
* Caring for animals (he seems to often have some injured or homeless or hungry critter under his care)
* Dancing (after Ella takes him out and teaches him to put his wiggles to some good use)

Other relevant info:
* Ollie occasionally has nightmares, and sometimes wakes up very scared, or sometimes sleeps fitfully, sometimes yelling incomprehensibly in his sleep.

Notes:
* ThibodeauChildrenEarlyTimeline
* Childhood character description here: NOTimelineOrphanage

Some ideas for Ollie: (For the , feel free to volunteer a PC, otherwise I'll add in the NPC I choose)
* On his first hunting trip with Abner (and other characters) he freaks out after a rabbit is shot by . Abner is forced to bring him home early, and from then on resolves to "toughen him up".

Initial arrival description:
<#jonah: A small child is delivered by a Cajun fisherman to the orphanage. He turns out to be a younger brother of Jeanne. He is a wiggly child, and happy by nature. When he smiles, he keeps his lips pressed together into a long upward-facing C shape. He is outgoing and instinctively trusting, contrasting with his reclusive sister. When he is a bit older, his friendly and outgoing nature helps him to land a job as a bellhop at the hotel. He is physically small as a child, but has a voracious appetite and grows quickly. He's constantly moving in some respect: bouncing up and down or dancing or just fidgeting with his hands. He has a very hard time sitting for lessons, but Jeanne convinces him to stick it out. His restlessness does get him into trouble some times, but for whatever reason Mr. French and Nora seldom beat him. Perhaps because he's the youngest, they usually let him get away with a sincere (and sometimes tear-streaked) apology. Aside from his restlessness, he is seldom the instigator of mischief, though he is a willing accomplice. He has a fascination with animals, and has been caught feeding rats or stray cats and dogs, much to the chagrin of Mr Black. #>
