Jeanne works in the laundry room this day. The garden can spare the hands, it still being winter, and Erin is sick and is told to stay in bed.

She works with Valerie with Ms. Lizzy supervising and Ollie running in and out with his cart. At some point during the day, she finds a hairpin tucked in some clothing. She keeps it to use for something handy later.
(It later shows up in Cole's Christmas present)
