AbnerHayes Abner Hayes takes all of the boys on a hunting trip. They're hunting foxes this year.
After a few hours of wandering the woods and listening to Abner's tall tales of past conquests, they finally track and shoot a fox, but Shawn shoots badly and doesn't get the kill shot, badly wounding the animal. Seemingly simultaneously, Ollie totally freaks out and is inconsolably upset that the fox is hurt. Abner has to shoot the animal to put it out of its pain, and then take Ollie home early from the trip.
