Ollie sees folks going up to the tower after Lizzy's left them for the night. He follows. (Who might be going?)
Cal would invite/dare Ollie on the first night. He is not going to just go and ditch him. (He may have to use Jeanne to translate.
Jeanne, seeing him watch the other kids crawl out the window, gives a smile and a shrug, and goes as well. (In French)"I have not gone before," she tells him. "But I have watched them. It is only the kids, and they tell stories and play games."
