After church, those who attend the circus see acrobats; aerial silks; clowns; elephants; equestrian acts; exotic animal menageries including tigers and bears; fire eaters and breathers; fortune tellers; gymnastic dancers; hooping; jugglers; knife throwing; lion tamers; living human curiosities; magic shows; musical bands; plate spinners; stilt walkers; strongmen; sword swallowing; tightrope walkers; trapeze artists; unicyclists.

Some sneak in while others do a few errands for someone in the circus to pay their fare.

<#jonah: About halfway through the show, Ollie bursts into tears, for no apparent reason. #>
<#court: Jeanne asks him what the matter is, and if he wants to leave. #>
<#kate: Ella watches the interaction to see how it transpires. #>
<#jonah: Ollie sobs quietly for a minute or two, hugging Jeanne, but doesn't seem to want to leave. Eventually the act changes to some clowning acrobats, and he seems happily distracted by their antics. He is somewhat subdued for the rest of the show. #>
<#ann: Did it seem related to the act we were watching? What was that act? Or does changing to the clowns help only because they are clowns, not because the act changed? #>

<#kate: Just putting the needs in case anyone wants to add something to this specific circus.#>
