Physical Appearance: A tall and thin Caucasian male. He has dark black hair that is edged with gray.
Description: Mr. Black and his wife are the owners and operators of the TheStJamesHotel The St. James Hotel and TheStJamesOrphanage Orphanage of New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Black leaves the operation of the Orphanage, however, entirely to Mrs. Black.
A stern man, Mr. Black liked to keep to himself and never spoke with the orphans in his care. He liked to smoke a pipe and, in the evenings, to drink. He generally seems sad and sour. Mr. Black is a strong Confederate supporter and even after the war is over a Confederate flag hangs in the Black's apartment.
