Mi-yen is a mysterious woman, who seems to have first appeared in ancient China. There a legend grew around her due to her actions and appearance and had spread throughout most of the region by 600 CE. On one hand she was known as the Hui Fun Ren Mei, or Gray Lady Demon, thought to steal mens souls by staring into their eyes and a deadly force in the night among other more colorful stories. Those who thought favorably of her called her Mi-yen and thought she fought other demons, including Hollows and Wraiths, as well as protecting those in need. It is also thought that she had healing powers, whether fueled from consumed souls or other forces is not entirely clear, but many have sought her out either to try and steal this ability or ask that it be used on an individual in need.
Physically she is about 5'7" tall, and despite her apparent age appears to be in her mid twenties, with a lean body and a unique coloration to her eyes, skin and hair. Her eyes are the color of liquid mercury, as is her hair which is usually long, and although usually tied back, would reach down to her waist and seems to billow slightly of its own accord. Her skin has a variety of gray marks. Most obvious to the casual observer are a long rather thick line that runs diagonally across her face and a pair of darker gray lines across each palm.
Her weapons of choice are a katana and wakazashi, both of which appear old and rune inscribed. She has been known to use other weapons as well and seems particularly skilled with bladed weapons, although deadly with just about anything.
Theories exist that connect her to the TheNine Nine, to RadleyQuinn Radley Quinn, to LeeChaucer Lee Chaucer as well as to the legend of the LifeSpark Life Spark but these speculations have not been confirmed by reliable sources.
