Banaitja or "Ban" as he prefers to be called is a short, 5'3" Australian Aborigine. He is always carrying a metal staff decorated with 13 gold rings. In the beginning he wore traditional Aboriginal garb, basically a loin cloth, while in modern day he is usually seen in dressed in business casual attire such as khakis, sweater vests and loafers.

His soul appears as a taller, thicker version of himself.

Ban manifested during the final battles of the AustralianIncident Australian Incident and led his tribe to victory over the Wraiths and Hollows that were attacking them. He first meets Raven who then introduces him to Alaistar and they become close friends and he eventually returns with Alaistar to the TheScholarsGuildCitadel Scholars Guild Citadel where he becomes a member of the TheNine Nine.
Ban is an incredibly studious person. He throws himself fully at any and all tasks he takes on, seeking to become an expert at every subject he has had a chance to study. He has flowered under the tutelage of Alaistar, learning many similar skills including the ability to use his staff as a weapon, and RuneCraft. Ban is very friendly and out going, but can at times be too intense and his insatiable curiosity can bring him into trouble. Of the Nine he is closest to Alaistar who he sees as a father figure and mentor.
