Serena is 6'2" tall, tanned skin with Native American features and long black hair that falls to her waist and usually worn in a braid along with unusual green eyes. She had a thick, muscular body that suggests her physical strength and fighting abilities while still retaining her femininity and graceful characteristics. In the past she preferred loose fitting clothing made from animal skins. In the modern day she still prefers loose fitting clothing and can be found wearing cargo pants, layered shirts and heavy boots, similar to a hunters outfit.

Her soul appears as a large female wolf with gray and white mottled fur and large green eyes.

Serena is usually hotheaded, the first to join in a fight or suggest offensive actions. She can also be stubborn and difficult to refocus towards an alternative course of action. She is also fearless, with a will that does not crumble under pressure. For weapons she always has her tomahawk hung on the left side from her belt, is usually sporting additional knives and if the situation is appropriate can use a bow and arrow with expert skill. She has the ability to syncronize all of these weapons enabling her to retain them even in her animal forms. As a deadly fighter, as both a human and in her various animal forms, she can fight with a range of weapons as well as hand to hand. Of the Nine she is closest to Raven and LucasVanPelt VanPelt.
