The Brotherhood is an ancient association of five of the most powerful metahumans on earth. The creation of the Brotherhood was the inspiration of Augustus in 1267 BCE out of his own fears of attack by stronger metahumans. The founding members were Augustus, TheHuntress, Ra, ZaizenTamari and OmranMohammed Omran Mohammed. Unknown to the others, Augustus created the founding documents of the Brotherhood with ColdSteel Cold Steel ink, binding the signers to the rules outlined in the documents.
The tenants are as follows:
- Of the 1000, 1/200th will stand above the rabble. Five there shall be, and always be, the gifted of the gifted, strength will determine their worth, the vanquishers reign over the vanquished.
- Each of the brotherhood should select by his own choosing a gifted of promise to be their apprentice, as long as the apprentice does not know of the other brothers, then they cannot be harmed. When the truth is revealed to the apprentice, they become part of the great game.
- No brother will strike against brother directly.
- Strength is the true measure; apprentice or rabble anyone stuck down shall be replaced.
As of 2007 the members of the Brotherhood were TheHuntress, ZaizenTamari, AbdulOmarMohammed Abdul Omar Mohammed, VladimirTopesky, and JacobSparrow. Previous members include TheJackal, TheOldMan Benjamin “The Old Man” Gates, Achilles, and individuals of the KnightFamily Knight and MohammedFamily Mohammed family, including MustafaOmarMohammed Mustafa Omar Mohammed over numerous generations.
