In 1141 BCE members of TheChosen the Chosen, along with their allies, were finally able to defeat ZaizenTamari Zaizen The Corrupter. Because Zaizen's metahuman power was death, it was impossible to actually kill him. Instead, his remains were divided into three parts: his mind, his body, and his metahuman power. His power was placed in a ZaizensOrb cold steel orb, his body was placed in a ZaizensCoffin cold steel coffin, and his mind was placed in a cold steel puzzle box.
The Chosen's intentions were to place the three pieces of Zaizen in places of safety. However, although the TheAllianceOfHumanity Alliance for Humanity had worked together with TheChosen the Chosen during the battle to defeat Zaizen, after the battle the Alliance refused to allow the Chosen to leave with the artifacts. The two factions struggled over this, with the Chosen leaving with the orb and the coffin, and the Alliance keeping the puzzle box.
The puzzle box eventually fell into the hands of Deathblade, a member of TheLost the Lost. In June 1948 CE, AbdulOmarMuhammed Abdul Omar Muhammed and TuraloOso Turalo Oso, fought with Deathblade. During the fight, AbdulOmarMuhammed Abdul obtained the puzzle box. He gave it to his father, AhmedMohammed, who at that time was a member of the TheBrotherhood Brotherhood. Upon Ahmed's death, Abdul once again came into possession of the box.
In August 2007, Abdul brought the puzzle box with him during an attempt to thwart the plans of TheLost The Lost. The box was stolen by TheLeftHand The Left Hand and used to resurrect ZaizenTamari Zaizen, who was later destroyed a second time by Abdul's allies.
