Paradise Lost is an ancient city, situated in a space outside of this dimension. It was created in 1249 BCE, in an attempt to give metahumans and humans a shelter from attacks by TheLost and ZaizenTamari. It was sacked and razed by TheAllianceOfHumanity in 244 BCE.
Paradise lost was built in 1249 BCE in an attempt to shield metahumans and TheChosen from TheLost and ZaizenTamari. The work was mainly accomplished by Bastien's son JaidenKnight Jaiden Knight, his wife Thalia, along with the assistance of Omran Mohammed's grandson Tarif Mohammed, NduluAshari, and GwenKnight Gwen Knight's husband Rafik Kazi. To create Paradise Lost, they use the MedallionofAugustus Medallion of Augustus and also create a universal key, the ArkOfTheCovenant Ark of the Covenant.

It was built with several gates, and all the gates require a key to access Paradise Lost. That key must be built specifically to let specific people in, as a safeguard. The runes that tap Augustus' power are at the core of Paradise Lost.Starting in 1140 BCE, fierce rivalries had begun to consume Paradise Lost, with some metahumans gathering under the name TheSupreme led by a faction of the Knight family, and alienating the humans who had come there with them. Some humans take sides with another faction of Knight family who are allied with the Kazi family who have remained in the real world in order to shuttle endangered metahumans to Paradise Lost and have started calling themselves TheSocietyOfSecrets. This division is made solid through a coup in 1053 BCE when the TheSupreme take over control of Paradise Lost from the Knights and Kazis.
From 248-244 BCE, Augustus, believing that he is about to be attacked by those within Paradise Lost, gives TheAllianceOfHumanity a key, believing that they will spare him when they take over. However, he is betrayed by The Alliance, who capture him for his knowledge and power. They begin a quest to wipe out the rest of the metahumans. A massive battle ensues within Paradise Lost, and most of the metahumans are killed after a long siege by The Alliance. In a final, desperate act of defiance, TheSupreme block or destroy all of the gates. TheJackal and Golem are trapped within, along with ZaizensCoffin. During the fight, XavierKnight kills Augustus, and therefore becomes a member of TheBrotherhood. He escapes with members of the KnightFamily Knight family and some metahumans out of Paradise Lost through the gate of TheHuntress, just prior to all of the gates being sealed by TheSupreme.
The last remaining ParadiseLostKey is split in half by XavierKnight. One half he tries to send with his young son FerrisKnight Ferris to NDore N'Dore, but the ship sinks with all hands lost near Morocco. The other half is passed in secret down the KnightFamily Knight Family line, and is eventually encased in a watch.
The half of the key ends up in the possession of ZackGraves who is unaware of its importance throughout much of 2000-2007 and is hounded during much of that time by members of TheLost: TheLeftHand, TheRightHand and Deathblade.
On the 20th of August 2007 the heroes of the August2007Timeline campaign to thwart the reunification of ZaizenTamari enter Paradise Lost through the gate in TheTempleoftheHuntress. Within Paradise Lost they locate documents from various members of the Knight family, a huge cache of forged ColdSteel Cold Steel items and rescue Golem. Many of these ColdSteel Cold Steel items are used in the subsequent fight against ZaizenTamari and are kept by AbdulOmarMohammed and JacobSparrow upon their departure from the cabin of JosephCooper. Golem remains with ShesuAshari Shesu.
