Elana and Radley call Deena (Agency) and secure a promise that the Agency will not follow the group as they continue their investigation.
Fio/Radley go to a 24 hour shop to buy clothes & cell phones, and are assaulted by Goreshade, and see Tao. They manage to exit into an alley.
The green cloak man tells Radley to make sure the others don’t recover the staff, and that the Black Guard will protect them. Green cloak man staves off Goreshade so that Radley/Fio can escape.
Fio, during the battle, has been chatting with Spencer on the phone. Spencer tells Fio to lay low and protect the items.
Fio checks them in to a seedy motel to throw off pursuers. He also provides calming beverages by breaking into a liquor store. Aided by Vodka, the two make phone calls. Radley goes into the bathroom for a bit and seems to be studying the items they have gathered.
Radley calls Bob, who says that he heard (from Deon) that all the auction items got to their appropriate buyers. Bob also says that Vlad probably paid Fox a lot of money before “the meeting.”
Fio calls Felicia, who tells him to check the news. The incident at Sotheby’s is all over the news as a terrorist attack. Fio calls Duncan and gets his voicemail.
Alaistar and Elana are walking through the city. Elana talks to Duke alone for a few minutes, high-fives, and is noticeably more cheerful and outgoing afterwards. Elana touches Alaistar’s staff and feels that it is an integral part of Alaistar’s body. Alaistar feels that Elana is slightly wraith-like.
Alaistar and Elana reach the empty apartment rendezvous, where Alaistar meditates and checks in with the guild. He finds out that Nemo has been taken by the Cult, and that Chen has barricaded himself in a safe room, and Hugh is still fighting.
Fio sleeps.
Alaistar examines the statue, and finds that there’s something in the middle, and asks Radley to cut the statue open. She works on it for a while, and then goes to the bathroom and emerges with one surface of a crystal revealed, and inside can be seen a rolled piece of paper.
Devi gets excited that she can now synchronize and puts a water bottle in a box in London.Fio calls Duncan and gets his voicemail.

Elana, Radley (with Devi following) leave at the apartment after discussing with Fio and Alaistar their plans. They walk down a few blocks to where a taxi is waiting and enter it. Radley tells the taxi driver to go to a particular small airport. Duke turns into a mouse and goes into Elana’s pocket. Radley gives Elana her sweatshirt to cover her bloody clothing and wears her Thames stained shirt. They bring the staff, medallion, Rovere’s sword (The Sword of Destiny), Gordian knot. At the airport, they see a blue spectral wolf following them, and decide to fly the plane away early.
Fio calls Spencer and agrees to drop off the shuttle with Duncan at a nearby train station.
Alaistar and Fio leave from the apartment to the train station by flagging down a cab.

Fio and Alaistar arrive at the train station. Fio leaves the cab while Alaistar drives up a bit further then exits the cab, watching Fio and making his way over to where he can watch the lockers. Fio gets shot by a sniper and goes down and the crowded train station breaks into chaos. Fio gets up and runs at where he thinks the sniper has come from. The blood from his wounds gathers together, forming armor around his head and chest and people are thrown aside as he barrels through the crowd. A car turns and drives right towards Fio with a rocket launcher sticking out of the window. Fio uses his arm, blood coming out of his body and forming long shard in his hand that he flings forward at the rocket launcher. Alaistar jumps up into the air and fires, using his power and super manifesting at the rocket launcher. The dagger and bullet hit at the same time, causing a massive explosion. Fio gets knocked further into the train station, Alaistar lands on the ground. Tao, on fire, grabs two bodies, there is a low moan and turns their bodies into ash, healing himself. Fio rushes Tao and they struggle, but Tao gains the upper hand, pushing Fio down into the dirt. Alaistar flips over the chains coming out of the ground as he hits Tao with his staff in the back of the head and ends up hitting Goreshade’s chains like a normal person hitting a steel pole. The lights in the train station blink. Chains start wrapping around Tao’s legs. Fio leaps up and pushes off of Tao, while Alaistar leaps over Tao, pushing him down into the ground, leaving a hole. Fio, while flying through the air has a car coming from the parking lot, flying through the air with a door open, catches Fio in mid air, seat belts locking him in and the door locking. Alaistar flies after him. The car is being at 90 miles an hour, driven by Duncan. Fio tells him to let Alaistar in and the car flips around, catching Alaistar in the trunk, through to the middle seats. Duncan drives the car into the Atlantic Ocean. Fio hands the shuttle over to Duncan as they sink, the car filling with water. Duncan leaves the car, saluting and leaving with the shuttle and is picked up by a hook on a rope, taking him away. Fio pushes Alaistar out of the car and goes to the surface, then when noticed by the tourists, sinks back down and moves to another spot further down the beach. Fio awakes in Geneva, refreshed and fit as a fiddle.
5:55 am-6:10 am
Alistair waits on the beach for Fio, moving on the beach then walks towards a jetty and keeps walking down beach, looking for a spot to wait for Fio.
6:00 am
Elana, Radley and covert Devi are in the plane. Elana showers, eats, and falls asleep, Radley is flying and making phone calls, and Devi is listening in. She calls Bob, asks about the Minute Men, but he’s not heard of them, and will look into it. She calls Fariel’s grandfather, and he reports that Fariel has recovered the hourglass, but is late in reporting back, and they don’t know where he is. She then re-examines the medallion and realizes that it has an orientation and that there are four knobs that can be pulled out.

Alistair waits on the beach for Fio for 1 hour.
6:44 am
Alaistar gets a ping from Santiago about him and Ban being under attack with missiles and robots, probably from Pappas. They have warned the other Nine on other planes. Alaistar tells them to divert to Calcutta instead of the Scholars Guild and wait for further instruction, capturing robots if possible.
6:45 am
Radley gets a general message from the FAA that all planes must land, and all flights are grounded, because there has been a terrorist attack over the Black Sea. She is told to land in Paris,
7:00 am
Radley lands the plane at a private airstrip in France. Radley, Elana and the still hidden Devi get on Radley’s motorcycle and go to a French National Park.
7:10 am-9:15 am
Alaistar talks to the other members of the Nine to develop a plan to deal with the situation at the Guild. Alaistar is wandering in London, looking for clothes and a hockey bag. He sees the news in Radio Shack window, sees that there was a high speed chase through London last night with an ambulance, which crashed, and all of the occupants are believed dead. Also reports of terrorist involvement in the Sotheby’s incident. A report of a terrorist attack at the train station. A report of a terrorist downing of a flight from Romania to Turkey. A report about strange weather patterns in Amsterdam; raining frogs. A report of locals seeing strange light over Greece, in Crete. Alaistar calls Jessica, proposes that they team up against Vlad, but she doesn’t see what he’s bringing to the table, and rejects him. Alaistar calls Audrey @ Gates Corp, and she says that the Gates Corp and Innovation are going to merge. He asks for any details she can get about
Alaistar calls Felicia, and asks about Rovere, and she recognizes him as the leader of the Order of the Wall, which is the personal strong arm for the Voice of God. He calls the Alliance hotline, and relays details of the auction. He warns that the church had been infiltrated by Vlad, but the voice on the other end indicates that Vlad was expected to be there on behalf of the church. He calls his KGB contact, and asks that he pull all the data, dubious or not, on Vlad. He gets the KGB contact to give him Modin’s address. He calls Charles DuMont, and asks him to get the message to Mr. Dumone ASAP. Alaistar takes a cab to the chunnel to France, flips, and talks to his guys: Renji is at the guild door, and says that they should get help to Chen. He’s concerned that they should prevent the Cult from stealing their stuff. Renji wants to do some recon. He consults with Virgil, who says that he needs to get more recon before taking action. Renji is left to harrass the forces assaulting the Guild. Chen says that they’ve been barred inside the safe room, and Hugh’s last report is that the Cult is cleaning out the guild’s stuff. Ban and Santiago are ok, are are heading to a sewer door in Constantinople.8:00 am
Radley, Elana (with Devi) hide the bike, and hike up to a clearing. Radley makes a threshold and figures out how to use the Medallion. She makes one portal that doesn’t work very well, then another and vanishes, arriving at her estate in France. Devi follows Radley to her estate.
Meanwhile, Elana investigates the objects that she has in her care. On returning to the camp, Radley and Devi find that no perceivable time has passed since they left.
She smells the knot, and it smells like recent events, but most anciently it smells like blood and holly, sweat and iron.
She smells the staff, and it’s a potpourri of natural smells, from spring flowers to death and decay.
She smells the cloth, and it has no odor, whatsoever.
She smells the medallion smells like the Mediterranean.
The three of them mess around for a bit, and while Radley is using the medallion portal, Elana wiggles the knot a bit, triggering something, and the following happens:
The alchemist cloak bursts into holy flames from the sword
The portal expands and takes all three of them, and 50’ diameter circle of earth with it into the all-space-time point
Devi’s things almost unsynchronize
Radley has a heart attack as the runes on her blood are unbound
The snake on the medallion comes alive and wiggles and hisses at Radley
The staff starts to grow a 3-headed wolf, which looks at Radley, the snake, and Elana

Elana goes off to retrieve the bike. She arrives back at the crater, hikes down to the bike and then attempts to reorient to Radley’s location. Through Duke, they work for the next hour to reorient on the site in Geneva. She manages to locate them and opens a portal back to Geneva with the bike. They develop a plan where Elana takes the sword of destiny and uses the medallion to go back to France and complete the circuit. She is going to call Jeremy Redgrave and give the sword to him. Then she will work on getting her way back to Geneva and anticipate a call from Radley after her meeting about where they can join up again. Elana remains focused on dealing with Vlad while Radley is unsure of what she is going to be up to after the meeting.
9:15 am
While getting on the train Alaistar’s KGB contact calls Alaistar and tells him that the Agency has Modin.
9:20 am
Alistair’s KGB contact calls Alaistar and gets him a meeting in 10 minutes with Modin in London as a representative of the Russian diplomatic core. Alistiar tells the cabby to go to where the Agency is holding Modin
9:40 am
Alaistar tells the cabby to pull over and assaults a business man to obtain his suit, hands him a thousand dollars for his suit. Alaistar gets a suit and gets back in the cab. He travels a bit more, then gets out of the cab and hides his staff, then gets back in the cab and travels to the Agency meeting at a nearby police headquarters.
9:47 am
Alaistar arrives at the police headquarters and walks up the stairs where there is an Agent having a smoke, to the front desk. He introduces himself as from the Russian corps and is asked for papers. He provides his identity card as Vlad Sovitsky and is asked to wait and takes a seat.
9:59 am
A fat detective in a business suit, flanked by a tall black man in a British Navy uniform and a short Italian man in a suit as well as an Irish man in a suit and tall woman with short gray hair looking stressed, walk up to Alaistar and everyone stops. The man in the uniform says, “Hello Mr. Sovitsky” to Alaistar. The Irish man and the woman shake hands, “Thanks for the help,” she says, “Good luck Agent” he says. She looks at Alaistar, making eye contact, and as she is leaving, flips open her briefcase and is flipping through a file as she exits the police station, “Come on Matthew” she says to the Agent that was smoking on the steps.” The man in the military uniform introduces himself as Corporal Quentin Jones, Detective Brown, the Irish man is Agent McMurray, the Italian man Agent Deltoro. They take Alaistar into the back where they are holding Livitsky. They take him to an interrogation room with cameras and one way mirror, where Modin is being held, wearing a prison jumpsuit and looking dejected. Modin stares coldly at Alaistar and refuses to shake hands. They have a heated conversation. Alaistar leaves and talks with Deltoro and asks for the inventory of things that were taken from him when arrested. To do so he needs more papers, Deltoro has already dialed the number from the Russian offices where Alaistar makes a fake conversation with the person who is on the other line. They wait in a small room with Deltoro and McMurray, waiting for his ‘papers’ to arrive via fax.

Elana smells the sword and it smells like Church.

Elana leaves Geneva with the sword, using the medallion, going back to the Park at the site of the crater. When she leaves, her Agency phone reads 10:15 AM and the clockwork watch reads 10:17 AM. When she arrives at the Park her Agency phone reads 10 AM and the clockwork watch reads 10:17 AM. She calls Jeremy Redgrave. It sounds like he is on a heliocopter or plane. She tells him that she has a Golden Apple and needs him to meet her to pick it up in secret. He asks after The Phoenix. He tells her that he will send a field agent to pick it up as fast as possible. He tells her that her tracking device is disabled and asks where to send the agent and provides the longitude and latitude from her cell phone. She tells him that there was briefly a tunnel through all of time and history and now there is a crater. Jeremy signs off with her new call sign, Goldilocks. She waits for back up as Duke acts as a look out.
10:20 am-10:45 am
Victoria Redgrave comes back into the room, saying that Alaistar is a liar and tells the other agents to put him under arrest. Alaistar agrees to go quietly but Victoria sends out Deltoro and McMurray and has her own conversation with him. She asks for his help finding Fio. The conversation goes badly and Victoria says to take them both meaning Modin and Alaistar to Never Never Land. A fight starts but Alaistar escapes with a blackbox.

Alaistar’s phone rings while he is fighting Mathews outside of London heading towards the general direction of Constantinople.

After the fight Alistair checks his phone message and it is from Dumone. He flops to answer the ping and gets a report from Renji that the Guild appears to be abandoned and asks for instructions on how to proceed. Renji has not seen Hugh. He tells him to wait as opposed to going in. S-Alaistar calls back Charles. He asks after the Sword and tells them that the 7 Templars are coming after the sword and will kill those that have it. Charles offers to slow down the Templars and Alaistar accepts. He asks after the Shuttle and asks Alaistar to find it as it is the most destructive item on the planet. Get it back, Charles says and then he hangs up. Alaistar calls one of his lower level Agency contacts on their Agency line and leaves a message for Victoria that Elana has the sword and will be in danger. He flips again has a conversation with the rest of the Nine, discussing ways to track down Mi-yen. Raven asks for her real name. He asks if there is anything of hers at the Guild but there is nothing. He leaves a message that the Alliance is coming after the sword with the Templars, the Order of the Wall, their elite and really want it back. Alaistar stops flying and swims to the underwater car where he left Fio.
10:35 am-11:00 am
Elana investigates the Alchemists cloak that is hanging off of the hilt that now smells like fire, burning and Geneva. She attempts to tear a piece of fabric but discovers that she cannot. She finds a sharp rock or stick and tries to use it to cut a thread but it does not break. Biting and struggling with it, she breaks off a six inch piece of red thread. She examines the thread and sees that there is a gold fiber running with the red strands and sees there are tiny runes from various languages, on the gold thread that say “Dampening”. She makes a note with that rune information on it, the psalms that are on the blade, that it is dangerous to touch the sword and can hurt those that do it. She leaves out personal names and details, just the facts. She examines the curved crater that has sheered off edges.
11:10 am
Fio and Radley see each other as Fio’s finishing his sandwich. He runs out of the restaurant after the hotness and they run towards towards the train station for Radley’s meeting. En route, they see Deon, and split up to meet at the train station coffee bar.
Fio, at the train station, sees a bunch of swiss people and a tall older arabian man looking around nervously. Standing next to him is a tall youth in sandals, khakis, sandals, a linen shirt, and long black coat (Jacob).
Fio also sees Radley run into the ladies’ room, and in there she changes into Lee Chaucer, and changes her clothes. She places her bag, that contains the Gordion Knot, in the ceiling of the ladies room. She sneaks out, and Fio doesn’t notice. Lee sees that the Arabian man is looking for someone. She goes to the meeting, after getting the account number from Bob.
11:45 am
Fio sees the Arabian man and the youth leave at the Geneva train station. Fio, impatient, checks in the women’s room for Radley, and seeing no one looks around a bit for her. He goes outside of the train station and sees the Arabian man and the youth running and he follows. He sees a fight break out in the meeting doorway.
12:00 pm-12:20 pm
Alistar arrives at the car where he left Fio but finds him missing. He investigates for twenty minutes and finds the passenger side window is still closed and rolled up. There is a little piece of Fio’s blood tapping against the window. Alistar grabs the blood. He finds a screwtop water bottle, fills it with water and puts the blood into it. He attempt to orient onto where Fio is by triangulating.
Chaucer arrives at the house in Geneva for the Alchemists meeting, and Deon lets her in. Trent is there at the table, and on the table is the code book. Deon says that Levitski (Modin) isn’t coming, and they start the meeting. Vlad Topeski’s payment is being handled by Trent. Nicodemus is going to be contacting them later. He announces that Nicodemus is putting the book up for bids. Lee asks to examine the book, to verify its provenance. She can, and examines the first couple pages of the book, and she starts to feel quite juiced by the book. Worried, she closes it, and starts to examine the outside. Bidding for the book opens at $100 billion, and Deon / Nicodemus wins it unopposed. Deon turns to Trent and asks him to pass on Nicodemus’s displeasure with Vlad’s performance. Deon starts to pick up book. Jacob flies in and stops him. Devi tries to help Lee by teleporting book from the table to Lee’s feet. Lee notices the book move, as does Jacob, who makes a dive for it. Deon teleports the book from where it is to his own hands. Abdul electrocutes Trent. Lee starts to leave. Jacob and Fio rush at Deon. Deon opens a portal behind himself. Fio throws a knife at Deon’s book arm. Jacob makes a grab for the book, but Devi makes a bar across the portal, allowing Deon to escape through but hitting Jacob. Fio jumps through the portal and just before it closes, Jacob slides through as well. Lee goes back to the train station.

Deon’s portal opens and Jacob and Fio and Deon pass through and the portal closes after Jacob passes through. They end up in Hong Kong on top of an office building and its dark and raining. He finds himself in a set of circles with a inner ring made of silver chinese characters and an outer ring made of gold with chinese characters. In the northwest is a helicopter and a helicopter pad. There is an elevator. A fight commences.
Fio throws a knife into the control panel and there is an explosion and lights go off. Jacob leaps into the air, body tackles Deon into the elevator doors and takes the book, using one wing to shield himself from Deon, the other to protect the two of them from Fio. Guns pop up out of various terminals on the roof.
Fio freezes, determining that the guns use motion sensors. Jacob slams Deon down as he flies into the air, using his wings to deflect the bullets. Fio leaps at Jacob and catches him, holding on to his chest like a monkey. Jacob looks at Fio, evaluating and then flies further off. A portal opens in front of Jacob and they end up back on the roof, the guns reorienting on them, Jacob is dazed.

Falling down the side of the building, Fio creates a giant metal hook and dives towards the building trying to stab into it and slow his decent. The metal hook impacts the building, causing metal blue sparks, but with effort he pushes his way into the building and he manages to hang on to the end of the hook and book. He ends up stopping, hanging off the side of the building with the book.
Fio pushes off the building, leaping towards Hong Kong Bay but a portal opens in front of him and he ends up back on the roof. Jacob is nowhere to be seen and there are soldiers with AK 47s and riot gear. The lead soldier presses a button, orienting all of the guns on Fio.
Everyone opens fire on Fio. Fio runs forward towards a soldier with the book in front of him and grabs him just as the book vanishes, ending up in Deon’s hands. Fio runs towards Deon.
The guns continue to fire. Fio throws the guy towards the leader of the soldiers as more bullets pour into Fio. Deon starts something.

Fio and Radley walk out of their respective bathrooms at the same time. Devi knows that Fio went through the portal. They get something to eat and Radley finds out that Spencer’s last name is Price and they set up a meeting with Spencer Price in Rome.

Elana’s phone rings and talks with Radley about the threat of the Templars and Order of the Wall coming for the sword. Elana creates photographs of herself being killed and the sword being taken by Barkley and pins them to a tree. Elana stabs herself with a sharp rock and puts her blood on some leaves and makes the photographs match. And then she runs down the trail to the Ranger’s house, leaving Duke and the sword in the clearing and arrives at 1:05 pm. His wife answers. She shows the woman her wounded arm and gets invited inside. Elana goes into the bathroom and takes out the medallion and uses it to find Duke and the sword. At 1:07 pm she jumps through to the crater. She gives her note to Duke to give it to the good guys with the end location changed. Elana uses the medallion and goes with the sword to the Ranger house bathroom. Her clockwork watch is another thirty seconds. She barricades herself in the bathroom, watching the grove through Duke’s eyes.

Elana sees through Dukes eyes a bunch of men in army gear with an additional broadsword that are all white with a red Templar cross, and masks, revealing only their eyes. Elana asks the woman for gauze and chicken noodle soup and the woman goes off to get both things. Duke tries to get the note to the good guys. Elana sees Duke jump through the open window of a car holding a man (Matthews) and a woman (Victoria Redgrave) and leaves the note in the car. They go to the ranger station. Elana opens the door and they have a discussion about the swords capabilities and what to do with it. Elana tells them to bring it to the Research Division Lab in France.
Elana calls Radley and they discuss that she is going to meet Spencer Price with Fio somewhere in Rome. Elana is going to meet them there and Radley will call if she can when she gets there.

Fio and Radley (with Devi) drive on her motorcycle to Rome.

Alistair runs to the nearest town, Dunkirk, and gets a change of clothes and a new phone. He calls Radley and leaves a message that he is in transit to Rome. He flies to Rome under his own power, relatively low to the ground.

Alistair flies. Alaistar travels over Geneva, and keeps going.

Alistair’s compass starts spinning, and he lands near Fio and Radley, but they see something, and they speed off.

Alaistar runs until the compass is resolved again, and he takes off again to follow its direction. He flies past them, and lands in the bushes. Radley sees something falling out of the sky, gets nervous again, and takes a detour.
Fio and Radley stop for gas, and they pick up Rollo’s message. She calls him back. They discuss Spencer and the plan to try to get Spencer to destroy the item. They agree to meet up in Rome after the meeting. Alaistar asks about Elana, and Radley relays that she’s ok, and heading to Rome. Alistair makes it to Rome, and the hippies drop him off. Alaistar buys a bunch of touristy clothes to blend in. He buys a fanny pack. He then goes into a restaurant.

Elena arrives. She parks, and calls Radley, and Radley’s gotten to the suburbs, but she doesn’t answer and Elana leaves a message giving her general location, and letting her know that she got to Rome.

Elana gets a room at a hotel in the north part of the city. She buys some toiletries at the gift shop, and goes to her room and takes a shower and cleans herself up.
7:05 pm – 7:30 pm
Raven and Lucas ping Alaistar to say they are in Istanbul. Alaistar tells Raven and Lucas where Jessica will be, and says that their best bet is to help Nemo by tracking Pappas through Jessica. The assignment is to follow Jessica and gain intel on security and anything regarding Pappas’ whereabouts. If they find Pappas and don’t have a chance to ping, Raven is to follow Pappas and Lucas to stay on Jessica. Ban also pings Alaistar and gives him an update on the status of the Guild. The Cult has left the premises, but over the course of more than twelve hours, they have taken everything of value in the vaults and labs . Chen is okay. Only one Order of the Iron Thorn member is healthy; two others are wounded. The Cult now has all of Nemo’s experiments and library, the compass, and two Wulei crystals. The runes, interestingly, are all still in place, undisturbed. Alaistar instructs them to take about two hours to check the runes that must have been bypassed (the vault and entrance), and then seal up the Guild as best they can and leave it. The rest of them (all but Lucas and Raven) are to go to the Hague, to be nearby Brussels. They all stay until the runes are finished, and then stagger their arrival to the Hague. Their directions are to be inconspicuous and wait. The priority is to recover Nemo. S-Alaistar calls Audrey to ask for Jessica’s itinerary for the next 48 hours. He finds out that Jessica has the first flight tomorrow morning (the FAA is resuming flights at 7am) from New York to Brussels. Her schedule is cleared for a week before there are plans to return to New York. Her itinerary is mum regarding Brussels plans because of the secrecy around the merger. As of now, only Jessica and her personal accountant have the full details, but Audrey passes on Jessica’s planned hotel and room number. He tells her to get rid of the mirror, he tells her to bury the mirror somewhere safe at least 1 mile from her home.

Radley, Fio and Devi arrive in Rome. Fio spots a likely cafe, and they park the bike, and Fio goes in to find a table, and sees Spencer, who may or may not have been coming from the women’s restroom. Radley tries to call Elana a few times, but Spencer thwarts her. It starts raining. She decides to go in. Fio and Radley meet with Spencer, and Radley pleads with Spencer to not give the shuttle, but Spencer says “You never know which side they’re on”, and shoots Radley in the chest, and walks out. Radley stumbles to the bathroom, which is locked, but Devi portals her through the door, and she tumbles in. Fio follows Spencer, and Spencer apologizes, and says that things will get pretty hot, but he needed the distraction.
Radley notices one of the women in the bathroom see her, and her reaction seems funny, so she clocks her in the head, dazing her. Fio rushes into the bathroom and clears the other (non-suspicious) folks out. Radley heads to a stall while Fio gags the lady. Radley changes into Mi-yen, repairs herself, strips, stands in the toilet, flushes it, and turns into Lakin Chase. She comes out and Fio smashes a big hole in the back wall, and they jump over the building to the bike.7:20 pm
Fio and Lakin get on the bike and head from the restaurant, which is in the north neighborhood, to outside of Rome. Fio tells Lakin that they should be expecting company soon.

A bellhop knocks on Elana’s hotel room door and gives her a package with no return address.

Lakin and Fio park near the river north of the city and, trying to be inconspicuous in the shadows, Lakin calls Elana. While Lakin explains that the Spencer meeting already happened, Duke opens the package. It is a white rabbit’s foot with a note. Elana has a consternated moment about Spencer, and then there is a knock at the hotel door. Elana sees scary men in suits through the peephole, and escapes out the balcony with Duke’s help, still holding the rabbit’s foot, note, and cell phone with Lakin on the line. Elana and Duke get to the jeep in haste and arrange to meet Lakin and Fio at a suburban park. Duke reads the note (and Elana passes it on): the plan from Spencer is to meet at 8:10 am at the Harbor, so that is the default rendezvous if something goes awry. Lakin calls Alaistar to let him know as well.
7:40 pm
Alaistar finds a cafe and is about to sit down when Lakin calls and says (in Italian) that the meeting is over but they may not be able to meet at the fountain as planned. She says that the meeting went less well than desired. Spencer needs the shuttle to save a little girl, and there were no definitive conclusions on what would happen to it after that. Alaistar is apprised of both rendezvous and everyone moves in the direction of the park. Alaistar gets a cab and misdirects the cabbie before going in the right direction, to throw off pursuers. He gets out about 10 blocks from the park.
Fio and Lakin arrive first, and notice Elana arriving immediately after. (Devi is still with the group). They catch up briefly, sharing Spencer stories. Alaistar arrives. Lakin asks Fio if the shadow wall and shadow on the door during the meeting are Spencer’s powers. Elana and Fio are sure that wasn’t Spencer. When Elana asks if there was a fight, Lakin explains that Spencer shot her through the chest and also mentions that she keeps feeling that “something” is watching her. Alaistar gets creeped out and checks with rune sight. Right in front of him, he senses something vaguely wraithlike (similarly to how Elana felt vaguely wraithlike before). Alaistar recalls that he felt two vaguely wraithlike presences in the auction house (one above the podium, one behind Elana).
Alaistar says “I think we’re being watched,” while raising his staff. He makes an explosion on the ground, and as that happens a loud clap resounds over the parking lot. The dust settles on nothing, and the characters look over towards the clap, seeing three black Cadillacs driving towards them. Alaistar says “whatever was watching us just took off”, and Elana replies “I wouldn’t worry about that one right now.” Fio jumps on the back of the bike, and Lakin says “meet at the harbor”. Elana puts the paper in her pocket and tells Duke to eat it. Alaistar flips off into the air.The bad’uns pull up on the opposite side of the parking lot, dressed in the same white w/red cross military armor which Elana’s pursuers wore. They open fire. Alaistar deflects a rocket into one car, Elena drives the jeep over the curb, Fio lances the front passenger-side tire on the 2nd car. One swordsman attacks Alaistar, another is coming towards the group. A fight ensues, and our heroes defeat the 8 attackers. Elana hits the black box, and texts Jeremy to tell him the porridge was sticky, the bowl needs cleaning, and the address of the park.

Lakin searches some of the guys, and finds a HUD/communicator, and a dropper filled with two non-miscible liquids, one red, one gold. Devi sees the liquid vial as well, before Lakin does. Fio jacks a white SUV. Elana and Lakin take the VIN and the license plate from the bike. They drive north out of Rome, looking to find food and a bed. They take the opportunity to steal a blue SUV, ditch the white one in a junk yard (taking the license plate). Lakin puts the communicator nearly on, but not completely. The HUD has 12 red dots, one of which lights up green as she puts the communicator fully on, and a voice asks her for status. She feints a dying voice, and says that the perps headed south. They see her vitals as good, and she cuts off the conversation and has Fio crush and dump the device. Alaistar calls Felicia, but gets a message machine. He leaves a message to call back They discuss the black shadow saving Fio/Radley, and they all conclude that it’s friendly. This prompts Devi to reveal herself, and the gang is united!

Alaistar gets a ping that says that the Guild is cleared, and the group is moving on to their next destination. They pull off, jack another SUV (a blue one), and split into two groups temporarily, until they ditch the car under the road, near the river.

They take off in the blue car northbound. They discuss the dropper, and no one knows what it is. Devi asks about Tao, and Alaistar gives a dissertation on hollows and wraiths and shadows. They also discuss thresholds and where to go to look for safe housing. Felicia calls, and invites them to her apartment, but Alaistar refuses.

They find an open barn, kill the car lights, and they drive into the barn and close the door. They cover their tracks, close the obvious doors and shutters, make two circles, and set up camp inside them. Alaistar does a ritual threshold in order to allow himself to heal

Alistair hits the ground and goes into a healing slumber Elana and Fio sleep, and Devi and Lakin are standing guard, and talking.
