Sotheby's was destroyed by a huge metahuman battle, which started on the night of October 17, 2007, and continued into the early hours of the 18th. The battle began during an auction of priceless metahuman artifacts. See details of the leadup and the battle Oct172007 here.
TheAgency rapidly descended into the chaos, breaking up the fight. The story NewsOct18 broke in the media on October 18 as a terrorist attack. ModinLevitsky was later picked up as a suspect.
